Indiesound
This Memorial Day weekend Buffalo First! is presenting the first annual indiesound, a day of live musical performances from local favorite artists including Free Henry! and John Allen at various venues throughout Allentown. From Wadsworth to Main Street, in businesses ranging from Café Taza and K. Gallaghers to Positive Approach and The Dress Shop, you’ll have the chance to enjoy tons of local musicians while visiting (or re-visiting) the eclectic and vibrant Allentown Business District.
Indiesound, organized by Buffalo First! encourages local residents to explore local businesses while taking in a wide variety of performances happening in and around the historic Allentown District showcasing the vitality, diversity and strength of our city. Sarah Bishop, Executive Director of Buffalo First said, "We understand the the importance of supporting our local artists and how a thriving cultural community will in turn support our local restaurants, shops, and organizations. As the arts are under continued fiscal attack, we are taking it upon ourselves to bring more awareness to local musicians and simultaneously to our unique independent bussinesses, garnering the support they need to exist and thrive within our own community."
