Free Buffalo Tours

Every Friday at 10am in January and February, Buffalo Tours will offer Queen City Downtown walking tours FREE when the temperature is 25 degrees or below.  For each degree above 25 the cost goes up $1 to a maximum of $10 per adult ($5 for students). Price is determined 15 minutes before the tour using the Weather Channel website for the 14203 zip code.  Meet in the Buffalo Visitor Center at 617 Main Street.

Let the Skating Begin

Memories From Buffalo's Past

Two local organizations are teaming up to bring some holiday cheer to Buffalo. The Rotary Club of Buffalo and the Theatre District Association of Western New York have teamed up to revive those old-fashioned holidays when thousands of shoppers came to downtown Buffalo to press their noses against the elaborately animated window displays at AM&A’s department store. From November 20 through January 11, Main Street (between Tupper and Chippewa streets) will be lined with more than 20 vintage Christmas window displays from AM&A’s as part of a family-oriented attraction called “Magical Memories on Main Street.” The event will be highlighted with the annual Downtown Christmas Tree Lighting at Rotary Rink (40 Fountain Plaza, Buffalo) on December 4 at 3 p.m. READ MORE...

Another Reason to Love Buffalo

I was recently asked by someone that didn't know I publish a magazine called THRiVE! and write about all great things in Buffalo, why I haven't moved my family out of the area in search of "greener pastures." While I could think of a number of reasons, ultimately it comes down to enjoying life right here in Western New York. There is so much to offer and at a reasonable standard and cost of living. Add to that four incredible seasons, and the resources of one of the world's five Great Lakes, plus Niagara Falls, and Canada right in our backyard and that is just the start of my list.
