Winter sports enthusiast and families can spice up the cold winter months with a variety of snow activities including sledding, tubing, snowboarding, snow shoeing, cross-country skiing (ungroomed), hiking, and snowmobiling.

A short drive out to Orchard Park is worth it to enjoy the outdoor winter sports of Chestnut Ridge. Plus if you get too cold there is usually a roaring fire going in the lodge overlooking the city, a must see.
